osthexy|ɒsˈθɛksɪ| [ad. mod.L. osthexia, f. Gr. ὀστ- from ὀστέον bone + ἕξις habit.] ‘Ossific diathesis, or a disposition to the formation or deposition of bony substance’ (Mayne Expos. Lex.). Hence osˈthectic a., connected with osthexy.
