† ˈorthogon Obs. rare. Also in L. form orthoˈgonium and Gr. -ˈgonion. [ad. late L. orthogōnium, neuter of orthogōnius, a. Gr. ὀρθογώνιος right-angled; so F. orthogone (16th c. in Godef. Compl.). Cf. L. orthogōnium a rectangle (Isidore iii. xii. 2).] A right-angled triangle.
