onychogryphosis Med.|ˌɒnɪkəʊgrɪˈfəʊsɪs| Also -gryposis. [f. Gr. ὄνυχο-, comb. form of ὄνυξ nail + γρύπωσις hooking of the nails.] The condition of having overgrowth, accompanied by thickening and curvature, of one or more nails (usu. of the toes).
