‖ obang|ˈəʊbæŋ| Also 7 oeban. [Jap. ô-ban, f. ô great + ban (a. Chinese fan) sheet, division: cf. kobang.] A gold coin formerly current in Japan, of an oblong form rounded at the corners, and equal in value to ten kobangs.
