1951C. Frondel in Amer. Mineralogist XXXVI. 682 In the course of examination of a small suite of secondary uranium minerals from Schneeberg, Saxony,..two specimens were found of a mineral that has proved to be a new hydrated magnesium uranyl arsenate member of the autunite group. The name novacekite is proposed for this species after the Czech mineralogist Radim Nováček (1905—1942), who made important contributions to the knowledge of the mineralogy of uranium. 1956Ibid.
