necessarium, n.|nɛsɪˈsɛərɪəm| [a. med.L. necessārium, neut. sing. of necessāri-us necessary, used absol., prob. for acc. (locum) necessārium necessary place.] A privy, esp. in a monastic building. Cf. necessary a. 3 and n. 4.
