†1. A nostril. Obs. (chiefly in 17th c. verse).

In the collocation narewei, nare wey, which occurs in the Moral Ode 347 (Egerton text) and R. Glouc. Chron. 3312, the form may be due to elision of the w (in narew) before that of the word following.
