mystacine, a. and n.|ˈmɪstəsaɪn| [ad. mod.L. mystacīn-us, f. Gr. µυστακ-, µύσταξ moustache: see -ine.] a. adj. Having a fringe of hairs or moustachial streak above the mouth; spec. belonging to the genus Mystacina or group Mystacinæ of bats. So mystaˈcinous a. b. n. A bat of this genus or group.
