methicillin Pharm.|mɛθɪˈsɪlɪn| [f. meth- + penicillin.] A penicillin, C17H19N2O6NaS·H2O, which is especially useful for its activity against staphylococci which produce penicillinase. Also called methicillin sodium or sodium methicillin.
