margined, a. and ppl. a.|ˈmɑːdʒɪnd| [f. margin n. or v. + -ed.] Having a margin, esp. one of a specified kind; chiefly Nat. Hist. (often as pple. followed by ‘with’); Bot. applied to seeds having a distinct projecting edge. In spec. names of animals it represents L. marginatus.
