Marcosian, n. and a. Hist.|mɑːˈkəʊzɪən| [f. Eccl. Gr. Μαρκώσι-ος (Epiphanius; app. f. Syriac Marqūs Marcus) + -an.] a. n. An adherent of a Gnostic religious system founded by a certain Marcus in the 2nd century; known mainly from the account by Irenæus. b. adj. Belonging to this sect.
