Maalox, n. Pharm. (chiefly U.S.).|ˈmeɪlɒks| [Acronym, f. magnesium and aluminium hydroxide.] A proprietary name for a preparation containing dried aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide, taken (usu. in tablet form) as an antacid for the relief of indigestion; a tablet of this.
