lumbriculus|lʌmˈbrɪkjʊlʌs| [mod.L. (A. E. Grube 1844, in Archiv für Naturgeschichte X. 207), f. mod.L. Lumbricus (cf. lumbricus) the name of a genus of earthworms + -ulus.] An aquatic, oligochæte worm of the genus so called, resembling an earthworm.
