▪ I. ‖ loth, n.|ləʊt| Also 8 lote, 8–9 loot. [Ger.; a specific use of loth lead n.1 Also Du. lood (obs.).] A denomination of weight in use in Holland, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. It varies locally in amount, but is always 1/32 of the local pound, or half the local ounce.
