‖ lochia, n. pl. Path.|ˈlɒkɪə| Also anglicized 7 lochies, 8 loches. [mod.L., ad. Gr. λόχια, neut. pl. of λόχιος adj., pertaining to childbirth, f. λόχος a lying in. Cf. F. lochies.] The discharge from the uterus and vagina which follows childbirth.
