‖ lithodomus Zool.|lɪˈθɒdəməs| Pl. -i. [mod.L., ad. Gr. λιθοδόµος mason, f. λίθος stone- + -δόµος building, δέµειν to build.] A genus of small mussels which burrow in rock or stone; a mussel of this genus, a date-shell.
