lithiophorite Min.|ˌlɪθɪˈɒfəraɪt| [ad. G. lithiophorit (O. Breithaupt 1870, in Jrnl. f. prakt. Chem. CX. 205): see lithium, -o, and -ite1.] A basic oxide of aluminium, lithium, and manganese (Al,Li)MnO2(OH)2, found as bluish-black monoclinic crystals.
