Yin, n.2 (and a.)|jɪn| [ad. Chin. Yin, proper name: see Shang-Yin s.v. Shang n.] The name of the Shang dynasty of China, esp. with reference to its final phase, after the capital had moved to the city of Yin in about 1300 b.c. Usu. attrib. or as adj.
