leukotriene, n. Biochem.|l(j)uːkəʊˈtraɪiːn| Also leuco-. [f. leuco- + triene n.] Any of a group of biologically active metabolites of arachidonic acid, originally isolated from leucocytes, which contain three conjugated double bonds.
