‖ xanthoma Path.|zænˈθəʊmə| Pl. xanthomas, xanthomata. [f. Gr. ξανθός yellow + -ωµα (cf. sarcoma).] An affection of the skin, characterized by the growth of yellowish patches or tubercles. Also, esp. in mod. use, such a patch or tubercle. Freq. with mod.L. adjs. Also attrib.
