‖ Kshatriya, Kshatri E. Ind.|ˈkʃatrija, -triː| Also 8 Chittery, 8–9 Cshatriya. [Skr. kshatriya a member of the military or reigning order (which in later times constituted the second caste), f. kshatra rule, authority.] A member of the military caste, the second of the four great castes or classes among the Hindus (cf. Khatri).
