A metamorphic schistose rock containing garnet, biotite, and varying amounts of quartz, plagioclase, sillimanite, and cordierite. Hence kinziˈgitic a., containing kinzigite.

XVII. 227/2 A kinzigitic formation..occurs in the district of Miglierina (Catanzaro). This formation is composed of kinzigites, kinzigitic gneiss, and amphibolic kinzigites. |
