Karnaugh|ˈkɑːnɔː| [The name of Maurice Karnaugh (b. 1924), U.S. physicist, who published an account of the diagram in 1953.] Karnaugh map or Karnaugh diagram: a diagram that consists of a rectangular array of squares each representing a different combination of the variables of a Boolean function (used, e.g., to find by inspection a simpler equivalent function).
