‖ kalian, kalioun|kæˈljɑːn, kæˈljuːn| Also kaleon, kalliyun, kalyan. See also calean. [Pers. kaliān, Arab. qalyān, qalyūn.] A Persian form of the hookah or narghile, a tobacco-pipe in which the smoke passes through water.
