Judæan, Judean, a. and n.|dʒuːˈdiːən| [f. L. Jūdæus, a. Gr. Ἰουδᾶιος, f. Ἰουδαία, f. Ἰούδας, ad. Heb. Jehūdah Judah, name of a son of Jacob.] A. adj. Of or pertaining to Judæa or southern Palestine. B. n. A native or inhabitant of this region. In Shakes. Oth. v. ii. 347 the first Folio has the doubtful reading Iudean; the other Folios and the Quartos have Indian.
