‖ jaune, a. Obs. exc. as Fr.|dʒɔːn| Also 5 jawne. [a. F. jaune, OF. jalne:—L. galbinum greenish-yellow. Naturalized in ME.; but in mod.E. (ʒon) only a borrowing of the French word.] a. Yellow.
