isogenous, a. Biol.|aɪˈsɒdʒɪnəs| [f. eccl. Gr. ἰσογενή-ς equal in kind or nature (f. ἰσο-, iso- + γένος race, descent, kind) + -ous.] Having the same or a similar origin: said of organs or parts, in different groups of animals, derived from the same or corresponding tissue of the embryo. So iˈsogeny, the condition of being isogenous.
