[f. Gr. ἰσόκωλ-ος, -ον of equal members or clauses, f. ἰσο-, iso- + κῶλον limb, member, colon. Also in mod.F. (Littré).]
a. The use of equal ‘cola’ or members of a period in immediate succession.
b. An isocolic period.
