The name of James Warren (fl. 1848), of Middlesex, used attrib. and † in the possessive to designate a truss he designed composed of alternately inclined diagonal members joining two horizontal ones, so as to form a series of non-overlapping triangles pointing alternately up and down. [Patented by Warren and Monzani in Brit. Patent 12,242 (1848).]
