viverrid, a. and n. Zool.|vɪˈvɛrɪd| [ad. mod.L. Viverrid-æ, f. L. viverra ferret: see -id3.] A. adj. Belonging or pertaining to the family Viverridæ, which comprises civets, genets, and mongooses. B. n. A viverrid animal.
