Virchow-Robin space Anat.|f-, ˈvɜːkəʊ ˈrɒbæ̃| [Named after R. L. K. Virchow (1821–1902), German pathologist, and C. P. Robin (1821–85), French histologist.] An extension of the subarachnoid space surrounding a blood vessel for a short distance as it enters the brain or the spinal cord.
