Vincennes|vɛ̃sɛn| The name of a château in the town of Vincennes (now a suburb of Paris), used attrib. and absol. to designate porcelain produced there in the eighteenth cent., before the manufactory was transferred to Sèvres (see Sèvres a.); also applied to colour characteristic of Vincennes porcelain.
