veszelyite Min.|ˈvɛsəljaɪt, -lɪaɪt| [ad. G. veszelyit (A. Schrauf 1874, in Anzeiger d. Akad. d. Wissensch., Wien XI. 136), f. the name of A. Veszely, Hungarian mining engineer: see -ite1.] A hydrated basic phosphate of copper and zinc, (Cu,Zn)3(PO4)(OH)3.2H2O, occurring as aggregates of bluish monoclinic crystals.
