The name of Dwight D. Eisenhower (1890–1969), President of the U.S. (1953–61) and supreme commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force in the war of 1939–45, used attrib. to designate a style of U.S. Army uniform jacket popularized by him, or a short jacket resembling this.
