Veblenian, a. and n.|vəˈbliːnɪən| [f. the name Veblen + -ian.] A. adj. Of or pertaining to the work of Thorstein Veblen (1857–1929), U.S. economist and social scientist, esp. the ideas (as of conspicuous consumption) expounded in his book Theory of the Leisure Class (1899). B. n. One who supports or advocates Veblenian ideas.
