‖ Althæa Bot.|ælˈθiːə| [L. althæa, a. Gr. ἀλθαία marsh mallow, f. ἄλθειν to heal.] A genus of plants (family Malvaceæ) of which the Marsh Mallow and Hollyhock are species; by florists often extended to the genus Hibiscus.
