‖ id-al-adha, n.|ˈiːduladhaː| Also (e)id-ul-azha, id-ul-adha. [Arab. ꜥīd al-aḍḥā Feast of Immolation; cf. *eid n.] The Festival of Sacrifice, the major feast of the Islamic calendar, commencing on the 10th of the month of Dhu 'l-Hijjah, and celebrated by rituals marking the end of the pilgrimage to Mecca.
