hyposensitization Med.|ˌhaɪpəʊsɛnsɪtaɪˈzeɪʃən| [f. hypo- 4 + sensitization, after hypersensitization.] The process of diminishing the sensitivity of a hypersensitive individual (as by the introduction of the allergen in a series of gradually increasing doses); a state of diminished sensitivity so produced.
