[f. Gr. ὑποκρᾱτήρι-ον the stand of a large mixing-bowl (f. ὑπό hypo- 1 + κρᾱτήρ crater n. 1) + -form.]
Having the form of a salver raised on a support: said of a corolla in which the tube is long and cylindrical, with a flat spreading limb at right angles to it, as in the periwinkle and phlox.
