† hyperoxymuriˈatic, a. Chem. Obs. [f. as prec. + oxymuriatic.] In h. acid, the old name of chloric acid HClO3, as containing a larger amount of oxygen than an ‘oxymuriatic’ (chlorous) acid, HClO2.
