‖ hyperostosis Path. and Physiol.|ˌhaɪpərɒˈstəʊsɪs| Pl. -oses. [f. hyper- 5 + Gr. ὀστέον, ὀστο- bone: see -osis.] An overgrowth or increase of bony tissue; hypertrophy of bone; an outgrowth of bone from a bone; exostosis.
