Pertaining to the hyoid bone and the mandible or lower jaw. hyomandibular bone, in fishes, the bone of the suspensorium which articulates with the cranium. hyomandibular cartilage, the dorsal segment or the upper end of the hyoid arch. hyomandibular cleft, the cleft between the mandibular and hyoid arches in the embryo of Vertebrates.
