Lex. 1886); hence hyetoˈgraphic, -ical adjs.; hyetoˈgraphically adv.; hyeˈtography, the branch of meteorology that deals with the distribution and mapping of the rainfall. hyetoˈlogical a., of or pertaining to hyeˈtology, the branch of meteorology that treats of rain. hyeˈtometer, a rain-gauge. hyetoˈmetrograph, an automatic instrument for registering the amount of rainfall during successive periods.
