homœoid Math.|ˈhɒmiːɔɪd| [f. Gr. ὅµοι-ος like + -oid.] A shell bounded by two surfaces similar and similarly situated with regard to each other, a homothetic shell; sometimes restricted to such a shell bounded by concentric ellipsoids. Hence homœˈoidal a., belonging to a homœoid.
