Hexateuch|ˈhɛksətjuːk| [mod. f. Gr. ἕξ six (hexa-) + τεῦχος book, after pentateuch. In Ger. (Wellhausen) 1876.] The first six books of the Old Testament, the Pentateuch with the book of Joshua.
