‖ henopœia Obs. [a. Gr. type *ἑνοποιΐα, f. ἑνοποιεῖν, f. εἷς, ἑν- one + ποιεῖν to make.] A figure of speech by which a number of things are considered as one.
1685H. More Illustr. 75 The whole succession..being looked upon but as one Beast, by a Prophetick Henopoeia whatever befell any particular King is referred to the Beast. So † henopoˈetic, † henopoˈetical, adjs. [Gr. type *ἑνοποιητικός], involving henopœia; unifying.
