havan, n. Hinduism. Brit. |ˈhavən|, U.S. |ˈhæv(ə)n| [‹ Sanskrit havana (also with vernacular pronunciation havan) oblation in fire.] A ritual burning of offerings such as grains and ghee, which is held to mark births, marriages, and other special occasions.
