A hydrous phosphate of magnesium and calcium that occurs in colourless crystals; possibly the same as bobierrite, the calcium being due to contamination with apatite.

Mineralogist XXII. 337 Michel..introduces the name hautefeuillite for a bobierrite-like mineral which, according to his analysis, differs from bobierrite..in its optical orientation. However, the redetermined optical properties of bobierrite correspond to those of hautefeuillite as given by Michel.
