harder S. Afr.|ˈhɑːdə(r)| Also 8 harter, 20 haarder. [a. Afrikaans harder, Du., LG. harder, OE. heardhara, heardra.] Any of various species of the grey mullet family (Mugilidæ), of which Liza ramada and M. cephalus are well known.
