guar|gwɑː(r)| [a. Hindi guar.] 1. An Indian plant, Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (psoralioides), of the family Leguminosæ, which tolerates drought and is grown as a vegetable, fodder crop, and green manure, and as a source of guar gum.
